Stupid Redskins. I woke up having forgotten about the game, and it hit me like a dead weight on the Metro. I can't believe I watched one of the worst televized athletic competitions in history to that conclusion.
Tom, before you even say anything, you're banned. And you're frankly looking a little squirrelly, Nabob.

Posted by: jsb at September 20, 2005 1:15 PMugh, my god, i only saw the fourth quarter while at the bowling alley. blah, nevermind, i don't even want to talk about it.

Posted by: the g. at September 20, 2005 1:29 PMWow, I didn't even know racist could be an adverb! A whole new world is opening (racistly).
Posted by: susan at September 20, 2005 2:14 PMThere weren't previously words for the depths of depravity to which the Redskins Nation will descend.
Posted by: Kriston at September 20, 2005 2:26 PMDepravity, huh? I wonder why you would say that. Is it perhaps because, oh I don't know, you think we're savages?!?
I find your insensitivity dismaying.
Posted by: tom at September 20, 2005 3:46 PMNah, nah, nah. Don't make excuses just cause the Cowboys lost! Its not like the Cowboys haven't won ugly before.
Posted by: Fletch at September 20, 2005 10:28 PMI'm keeping my big, fat mouth big, fat and closed. Neither side played well enough to justify a win.
Posted by: The N. at September 21, 2005 9:58 AMReed Hundt is right on this one.
First, the Redskins are cursed until they change their racially offensive nickname, or the culture changes its mores, but when playing the cowboys the scales of justice transform the offensive name into a call for redemption and revenge, so we've got that going for us, which is nice.
Although now that I reread that it's emphasizing more the symbolic angle and less the "Dallas Cowboys always have been and always will be the Team of Satan" angle, which I think is the lesson of why you had to root for the Indigenous Persons this time. But still.
(I was trying to remember which freaking blog I read that posted this... and it's TPMCafe! Hundt! Marshall ought to have a quota that one of every ten posts has to be random goofy shit like this.)
