Current Mood: Confused?

WTF?

Just some kind of live-journal-based feed of G.p, right? What's to be confused about?

Posted by: son1 at November 3, 2005 4:40 PM

Well, nothing, I'm just out of content right now. I don't understand why LJ users need an LJ source for the same XML feed, though.

And I'm narcissitic.

Posted by: Kriston at November 3, 2005 5:00 PM

Aren't we all, though?

Posted by: son1 at November 4, 2005 6:42 AM

You meant narcissistic, right?

Posted by: Otto at November 4, 2005 10:05 AM

It's probably part of a splog. They're using your content (links back to the live journal Gram Police) to appear as though they are a legitimate blog, rather than a splog. ...or in commenet spam, etc...

No, narcissitic.

Posted by: Kriston at November 4, 2005 10:40 AM

So splog = spam blog. I've occassionally seen a blogspot domain while cleaning out trackback spam, so I guess that's the reason. I don't know whether LiveJournal users have the same spam issues as the rest of us, but it would be unfortunate it folks were receiving gram_spam from that site.

"A virtual lifetime of relationships with narcissists, including my mother, one husband, a fiancée and three boyfriends, gives me first-hand experience in knowing their abhorrent ways. Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is an extreme behavioral disorder marked by egocentricity, mental and emotional fragmentation, and a self-aggrandized sense of exclusivity and separateness. Being in an intimate relationship with a malignant narcissist is a soul-destroying experience that cuts like a serrated knife to the essential core of one’s being. The narcissist is NOT your ordinary, run-of-the-mill, garden-variety abuser. Individuals that have Narcissistic Personality Disorder, while often times charming on the surface, are actually emotionally abusive, deceitful, and manipulative people who are incapable of empathy, compassion, and love. The Narcissist is untenable fodder for a genuine love relationship."

It's like she looked into my very soul.

I do not have a BA, MA, PhD or a license to practice psychotherapy, yet I am an expert when it comes to Narcissist Personality Disorder (NPD) and malignant narcissists (Ns).

Meaning . . . she's narcissitic herself? Likes to date Ns? Regardless, I'm buying Crystal Medicine.

Posted by: Kriston at November 4, 2005 10:54 AM

It's more like a magic trick...

"Ladies and gentleman, observe that I have nothing up my sleeve! And that this hat is empty! And that my pockets contain nothing but loose American change! And yet, before your very eyes, I will produce a downy satin bunny-rabbit from the hat which, when I use it to reach into my pocket, will pull out a quaint French 10-franc coin."

Or something.

Also: three boyfriends and a fiancee? She *definitely* likes to date Ns.

Posted by: son1 at November 4, 2005 11:04 AM

Actually, Crystal Medicine is kind of interesting.

BTW, Bayes, you're supposed to put your blog in your name field so people can read it.

Posted by: Kriston at November 4, 2005 11:27 AM

Yeah, but that'd kinda be like inviting people over to what is (at times, and certainly this morning) sort of like a family argument. I don't mind if other people come over of their own accord... but I'm still trying to maintain this fiction that it's only read by the family.

Man, that Crystal Medicine thing is awesome though.

"Stones reflect the internal workings of Nature back at us, thus sharing with us the secrets of creation, and answering our questions about life in the process. We may experience the cosmic synchronicity set forth in Nature when we learn to listen to the spirits that live in and talk through stones, even as our Pagan ancestors did. Then it will become apparent that stones are actually mirrors for our sentient awareness, for when we can instinctively feel the vibrations stones are putting out, we can attune ourselves accordingly."

I'm kinda confused though. If the stones are actually mirrors for our own sentient awareness.... why do I need the stones in the first place? The stones are kinda like crutches for the only sentiently half-aware?

Still... "earth it with stone." Love it.

"...why do I need the stones in the first place?"

Besides the narcissits, you could use them to ward off the sleestacks.

Posted by: jsb at November 4, 2005 1:10 PM

Now I'm just confused...

Posted by: son1 at November 4, 2005 2:24 PM

I'm not sure what sleestacks are myself, but when I clicked that link, the cat ran out of the room.
