Win-Win

My guess is that tonight's James Turrell lecture at the Hirshhorn will be fantastically crowded. It's hard to pass up the prospect of seeing slides from Roden Crater. Then again, tonight's talk by Kathryn Cornelius for the Red Tape series sounds like the grittier city event—a talk with a local performance artist hosted in somebody's living room by a gallery with no physical space. Haven't decided where to go but I'll be scribbling notes somewhere tonight.

Notes! Soon I'll post some thoughts from the last talk I attended. Soon!

I assume you went to the Turrell lecture. Unless you were hiding in a corner last night, or disguised as a short-legged dog, hanging out underneath the dining room table, waiting for dropped snacks.

I did neither. I was going to go to your thing, but then I remembered that I had to watch this Guest of Cindy Sherman screener last night. I have to keep my opinions about that to myself for the moment!

I wanted to come to Kathryn's talk because I expected that it would be a performance and not a talk, or at least, too tongue in cheek to be merely a lecture. Am I right or am I right?

Tangent here: I've noticed that, unlike other DCist authors, you often bury the photo credits at the bottom of your stories (versus directly under the photo). What's up with that?

Not trying to bury them. I forget the code for including the caption in the <form> tag. I'm still doing it the old way, not on purpose but because I'm slow.
